I’m typing this from sunny Spain which can mean one thing – it’s half term! Wow. Already.

I can honestly say that my second term has whizzed by without a moment to notice what’s happened so I guess this is a fantastic time to reflect on how things have gone and where we’re at. This time around it hasn’t been as steep a learning curve, as I had the pleasure of working with the same tutors I worked with last year so we were going over pretty much the same things as last time.

To sum up: we practised. And we practised a great deal.

This has had a positive knock on effect with the work I have been doing outside of the drama school and I’m delighted to say that I’ve been working a lot. The fact that I’ve been able to practise so much means that in the dreaded waiting room I’m not thinking about how I, the actor, am going to perform, I’ve been thinking about the character and the thought patterns she has and what’s going on with her, which is exactly where my mind should be.

I get to work with one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met next term so I’m beyond excited for that.

Now, as I’m taking a break, I’m off to enjoy the sun!

See you for the second half!

I love the highs and learn from the lows. The bit in the middle is where life happens.
